Utah Family Photography at Steinaker State Park

The Dudley family is one of my favorite families to photograph in the entire state of Utah. They are every family photographer’s dream. They’re super fun and I love how close their bond is with each other. We’ve taken photos in the field behind the field behind their home, in the National Forest, and this last session was at a state park. If you’re wondering where you can take family pictures in Utah, an easy way to start looking is to google search Utah State Parks. The reason this is such a good option is because it comes with such a variety of scenery, usually water, mountains, and a variety of landscapes. There is often a fee to do any type of family photography in a state park so that will need looked up for the particular location you are going. However, if you are wanting to avoid the fee, state parks are usually surrounded by a lot of public land that looks very similar to the park and does not require a fee. Water is always a really pretty setting for your family pictures and adds a really magical look and feel to the pictures. Steinaker is kind of off the beaten path near Vernal, Utah, but if you are wanting something that is really unique then I highly recommend having photos taken here. You can even turn it into a family trip by staying at the campsite and spending a day or two at the reservoir, hiking the surrounding trails, and even drive a bit further to get to Flaming Gorge.
