The Startup Building Wedding in Provo, Utah | Tai Lee Photography

This wedding at The Startup Building in Provo, Utah was so much fun to be a part of! I fell in love with the warm brick, natural wooden pillars, concrete walls, and copper accents. The whole wedding had such pretty, simple details, and a super laid back vibe that I’m ALL for on a wedding day and I feel super lucky to have been able to photograph it alongside one of my favorite photographers, Alyssa Sorenson Photo. She’s the bomb and I was so happy she invited me along.

Here are a few of my favorite highlights from the day:

• The open arms and welcoming attitude from the bride and her mom. We just met that day and they treated me like an old friend. Super sweet.

• Spencer’s (the groom) mom fixing his hair.

• Courtney’s dad seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time.

• Cookie ice cream sandwiches—I could have easily eaten 20 of them.

• The father/daughter dance & mother/son dance with the couple’s kiddos running around on the dance floor.

• Seeing how much the guests enjoyed being together and celebrating

• The Horah Dance—the one where the couple gets lifted up on their chairs and danced around at their own peril. I’ll admit I was crossing my fingers that nobody would fall off, and it worked.

• Spenser’s karaoke and dance skills—unmatched.

• The couple’s son singing his little heart out, per his dad’s example ;)

• Watching Alyssa work. It’s always super interesting to me to see how other photographers approach a shoot and get a bit of a glimpse into what goes into creating the photographs that they do.
