In Home Newborn Photo Session in Provo, Utah | Josslyn + Andrew + Littles
So if you read my last post, this one goes along perfectly with it and you can see an in home newborn session from start to end. These sessions are seriously so convenient, comfortable, and easy to do. Your house doesn’t have to be perfectly clean, we can literally move things out of the way when we need to but the realness is actually part of what makes it cool. I love this photo of these guys, and if you look a little closer, you’ll se the pile of blankets on the couch, the baby swing in the4 background that I could have moved so it wouldn’t be distracting (sometimes I do this), and Forrest’s crazy hair sticking up in back. It’s not “perfect” but that’s why I love it—it has character, and it’s a more accurate representation of where they are in their lives right now.
Josslyn and Andrew have got the cutest little family and have created a home together that has such a cool vibe. I love the overall look of it, and love that this is the space that they are raising their babies in. Even their kids have cool names. Forrest is the big brother, and Scout is the newborn baby girl’s name.
A couple other cool things from our session:
1 | Hand embroidered blankets that Josslyn made for both kiddos. Forrest’s hangs on the wall above his crib and you’ll be able to see Scout’s in the photos we took of her in the little basket crib.
2 | The juxtaposition of Andrew’s tattoos and Scout’s fresh, newborn baby skin
3 | The family dog peeking into Scout’s crib to check in on her
4 | Forrest trying to climb out of his crib, then realizing it was more fun to jump in it
5 | Scout’s great big smile. I thought she seemed way too young to be smiling—so cute!
6 | Forrest introducing Scout to life with a big brother, starting with trying to pick her up, followed later by pulling her headband down over her eyes
I did take some black and white film photos with this session because it’s just so cool. As usual, bonus points if you can pick them out.
Enjoy!
